Associate & Second Shooting

For nearly a decade while living in North Carolina my primary business focus was providing great care to couples throughout their wedding season. From engagement and bridal sessions.. all the way to the much anticipated wedding day!

In 2018, life forever changed as our family of four moved from NC all the way to Des Moines, Iowa. The kids and I had never even visited the midwest prior to that first move and I fully expected only corn fields around us ha. I was happily surprised! During this time I flew back to the South to complete my final weddings, bridal and engagement sessions.

In 2019, I "retired" from my photography business for a bit so that our family could embark on two years of full-time travel together for my husband's job! It was crazy, and we lived almost entirely in hotels for two years straight!!!

When we landed back in the Des Moines area in 2021, I decided to begin pursuing my business again! In this season of going where life takes us, I wanted to only commit to sessions for families, kids, couples, etc. and knew I wasn't in a season of life to work on long term projects like weddings!

However, I do love to associate and second shoot. I've done several sessions and weddings for local photographers. My favorite times are when I was able to fill in for a last minute need and work hard to match a photographer's style that was a little different than mine!

As of 2024, my family and I are relocating once again! I will be back in the North Carolina area for Fall and Winter 2024 as we look for a opportunity to live and work in the South again. I am not interested in rebuilding my own wedding business, but I do miss them! My goal is to work with and for other photographers who have a need for an additional photographer!
